Daizy Designs Tuffet Class

Tuffets are a touch of whimsy for your home that blend with all decors and bridge the gap between design and function. In addition to being heirloom home accents, they make treasured gifts for special occasions including weddings, new babies, anniversaries and special birthdays.

So grab a precut jelly roll or just (8) ¼ yard  cuts and come learn how to sew a gorgeous tuffet cover during the first class session and during the second session, turn that cover into an upholstered footstool.  Come to class with 64 2”X22” strips in fabrics of your choice along with the other supplies on the list.

A tuffet kit of 6” upholstery foam, upholstery batting, predrilled wood round, button form, t-nuts and bun feet is available for classroom students.

The kit fee is $110.00 with bun feet or $75.00 without bun feet and payable to the instructor during the first class session. (This is in addition to the class fee and supplies needed to make one tuffet.)  If you are interested in a kit please let us know when registering.

Even though this is a beginner and beyond class, you will need to have a working knowledge of your sewing machine, be able to thread it, adjust tension and adjust stitch width and selection.  Your sewing machine must be able to do a zig zag stitch in order to complete the project. The first session is 4 hours (you will be sewing on your sewing machine) and the second session is 4 hours (you will be upholstering and assembling your tuffet.)

Please note that class fees do not include patterns or materials unless stated. Be sure to obtain your supplies prior to the class as there is no time built into the class for shopping. Please note there will be homework week to week in this class.
